The unfolding of the future Singita Wellness is most definitely a leap of faith particularly as far as space or studio is concerned. As we are a week away from packing up at Mullins I have been reminiscing about the excitement and the anticipation as well as the hard work it took to launch Singita Wellness at Mullins and create a beautiful, serene space from a rather undesirable building.
I have always been sensitive to my surroundings and I remember as a small child the aversion to going into big department stores with my Mom – the glaring lights, the loud noises, the display of garish wares, would have me feeling quite distraught. I’m sure many of you can relate to this kind of sensitivity. I work so much better and feel so much more at peace when surrounded by softness, aesthetically pleasing, calming surroundings where the world just feels right.
So looking back at these old photos from seven years ago, where there was no studio, (this was the gym with rubber flooring) I have such gratification and fulfillment in what was created over a few months. New flooring, walls, lighting, walls torn down and the stunning whitewashed floor in the studio felt like the final touch. This past season was a great success, probably my most fulfilling, yet my most exhausting, teaching classes and personal training my lovely clients, but the memories put a smile on my face as it was all so much easier in our pretty serene studio.
This being said, spaces and buildings are just bricks and mortar, and can be easily re created. It really is the Spirit and the energy that allows this all to come alive. At Singita Wellness, it has been the amazing people, the beautiful souls that have filled the space, our loving team, here to nurture, uplift, love and hopefully inspire and help heal our members.
This is the essence of being Singitian, as you have all come to realize my enthusiasm, my true authentic passion for what I do to help motivate and inspire you all on your wellness journey is the “Spirit of Singita”.
This is with me always, I’m inspired by my Creator and connected with love always and this will be with me and us wherever we may find ourselves next.
I’m stepping into the unknown and with a great leap of faith I have a deep sense of knowing and excited anticipation. I will find our next home when the time is right, and Spirit will be with me to lead the way and create another beautiful space.
